May 02, 2010 · PEX is great for install inside the house of use with drinking water, however, I have never seen 1 1/2" PEX and the PEX I have seen is not UV stable. My big system uses 1 1/2" pipe and I personally don't recommend using anything smaller than 1" unless it is a micro sized aquarium system. I know that with uponor the pex is expanded to fit and thus grips the pipe on it's own but I am not worried about a stainless crimp ring just failing out of nowhere, I just don't see it happening.

Nov 20, 2018 · So, I was making some plumbing mods today and wrestling with getting the right approach with my side cutters to unhook the Pex clamps used by GD. I thought . . . there has to be a better way, so I went rummaging around in my "pliers" drawer for something better. Found it :D ! This little pair of end nippers grabs the tab and rolls it back on the first try, every time.[pipe]
